Election Day 2008

Very excited about this historic election day, I had the kids pose for pictures in front of an Obama sign...

and a McCain sign (my Maiden name for you trivia buffs!). As you can see, the kids were tiring of my photography (Russell kept running away so Lydia helpfully put him in a head lock). This photo also shows the parking lot of their new school.

Finally, Russell broke free only to sit down on the wet grass...

The kids perked right up when we went to our local Krispy Kreme for doughnuts (free with a voting sticker - thank you very much!) and then on to the gym. What a combo!
